FIGURECON 13, Oct 15 and 16, 2022 at Warbirds Museum
Well, it was a great weekend... a great show and lots of eye candy... miniature and full size. Without further delays let's get right to it.
SCOTT B. from the Army Group South chapter of the SSCC had this wonderful diorama of a hot air balloon being moved by ground troops into position for observation of the battlefield during the SPANISH AMERICAN WAR. Scott wanted to keep with the aviation theme of the museum, but he concentrates on the Spanish American War and there weren't a lot of airplanes back then. He came up with a great alternative though with his Observation Balloon diorama. Awesome work Scott!
MARK K. wanted to do something in keeping with the season and the Halloween holiday. So he gave us this great table of Movie Monsters - Classic as well as some of the more modern Horror Films. There's something here for everyone... well, as long as you like being a little scared.
MARK continued the movie theme with this absolutely amazing diorama depicting the speeder bike duel on ENDOR from the third Star Wars movie. This was beautifully crafted and you could get a sense of movement through the forest in the scene. Fantastic work Mark, it looked amazing.
