SCOTT brought one his projects. Here we have some modern U.S. PMCs getting ready for a mission. Scott made all the scenery. The wall at the back is a finished foam wall project. The wall on the right is in process. It has been carved, but still needs to be painted. Even unfinished, it is an impressive scene. Very nicely done Scott.
This ummmmm... "radio" was ERIC's contribution to the evening. He called me up about a week before the meeting and said the seller was up in the Columbus area where I live and would I help him out and get go pick up the radio. What followed was a scene from the movie DELIVERANCE. The only thing missing was the banjo. Eric is already hard a work restoring this "radio" to it's former glory. He managed to get the front cover off at the meeting and we were shocked to find the tubes intact and the radio manual shoved inside. When Eric got home he discovered that all the tubes all still worked. Absolutely amazing considering this thing came out of a WWII bomber and has been sitting out in the weather for quite some time.
My contribution to the evening was my haul from the House of Plastik earlier that afternoon. Actually I had the radio and a Bunch of landscaping materials from our club shoot in the back of my Jeep, so I didn't feel like hauling anything else down. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
BONUS SHOTS
Over the weekend ERIC sent me some shots he took out in the backyard after our most recent snow. This is the surviving crew of a downed bomber limping across a snowy field somewhere in France, hoping to make contact with friendlies before the Germans catch up with them.
