...Truth is I got to interested in watching JOHN ADAMS and the next thing I knew it was 10:30 pm. So this morning, it will be a question. All of us that bought the Panzer II from Dragon have been speculating what Dragon will do next. I think it will be fun to have everyone put the speculations in writing here and perhaps their wish list as well and we can see a year from now who was right.

Here are my speculations - I believe Dragon will do another version of the the Panzer II, either an upgraded version of the tank or the same variant painted in a different scheme (and I think the second possibility more likely). I believe that if Dragon does another tank it will either be a Marder II, allowing them to use the same lower hull, wheels and track, or we will see a T-38. I don't believe either of these will come out as a model kit.

What I would like to see Dragon do - I would like to see an Sd.kfz 222 armored car or a Protze. I don't think either of these are actually an unreasonable speculation either as Dragon loves to copy things that people have already done. I don't know why they do that, but they have done it over and over again.

Well, those are my thoughts, what do you think?

I expect to see another round of the PzII with different paint and a higher price just for those who didn't buy the first one, and I wouldn't be supprised if the tank doesn't come out in kit form either.

As for the future I sure hope it ISN'T a 222 lol. With all the big guns out there I'd think a mover would be more likely, but if it were up to me it would be an Opel Blitz

Didn't even think of a Blitz, that would be a good choice as there would be a ton of variations and accessories that they could sell to go along with it.

I have to agree - given Dragon/Cyber Hobby's tendency to over-release the same thing with only a minute difference in it (think the two SAS or Armored Jeep releases…) I would bet we see a Panzer II Ausf. F with the armor upgrades on the hull and the turret and the periscope/hatch upgrades - and the side toolbox.

I'd really like to see a 38(t) be the next tank though - I love the boxy look of it and the road wheels - it's fantastic!

If it isn't a tank a Sd.Kfz. 222, a Kfz. 70 Protze, or an Opel Blitz would be most welcome too!

I've heard there are a lot of people gunning for a Universal (Bren) Carrier as well.

I agree with the possible releases of the PZ II. If Dragon's premise was to release a "small" vehicle the I think the 38(T) hits the list..........also has a greater range of variants. Don't think we'll see a Pz III or IV (as much as would like too) but I believe they will resurrect the 251 project. Would love to see the AuSF D version as there are at least 25 variants of that half track! GROUND HOGS RULE!
