Next, we have a display by our resident Super Hero guy, Gregory. Gregory likes to collect in a variety of scales. Over on the right a 1:6th figure (which I believe is Shazam?) and on the left in 1:12th scale a nicely done bat cave, featuring items that I remember from the comic books (like the giant penny and the dinosaur. Looks like Batman forgot to lock the door judging from the number of bad guys and gals in his fortress.
Besides loving anything British Army, John K. also loves Star Wars. For this show's display he has assembled an impressive collection of Imperial Forces figures. Buddy, you've got some serious galactic credits tied up in these guys. Wow! What a great collection!
Amaral did a nice tribute to American forces fighting the War on Terror. I particularly like the idea of displaying them on an American Flag. Super job on the figures too!
Next up was Gray Ghost's Korean War diorama featuring American infantry basically, you know, freezing their butts off. The idea was taken from a Korean War display at the Marine museum at Quantico. Phil built the rocky scenery and covered it with Arm and Hammer "snow". It really does look cold. I think this is the largest number of Korean War soldiers we have ever been able to assemble and they look great (and cold).
Phil also built a showcase and displayed some 1 to 1 scale cold weather gear (the real deal) to show folks what the stuff really looked like. This was very cool (cold actually).
Next, Cory Lord and Phil put together a table with a North Africa theme. The table was split into Afrika Korps figures and vehicles and SAS Jeeps and British SAS Figures. The 250 halftrack with the 37mm gun is one of Cory's and the 222 armored car belongs to Phil. The SAS Jeeps and figures are from Phil's collection The desert dwelling in the background is from Panzercommander's collection. Really nice setup guys.
