Dick Schauerte has put together a diorama featuring a German film crew capturing on film a Panzer crew with their Panther tank. Behind the tank is a Sd.kfz 250 Neu in the radio/observation vehicle configuration. As usual, Dick's figures are a clever combination of correct uniforms and interesting headsculpts, all of which work extremely well together to create a unique scene. Well done old man! Sharp looking setup.
Mark Koehler never fails to amaze me with his creativity and humor. This year he did a display that featured a group of what I am going to call "Trumpian Dioramas" or perhaps Trump through the ages. I will let the view make what they will of them as far as the messaging goes... I am just going to enjoy them for the humor and the creativity. And, there are a lot of amazing figures here... so enjoy!
Fred Boebel commemorated the crossing of the Rhine River at Remagen with his display this year. A really nice touch is actual YANK and LIFE magazines from the event. The display features accurate U.S. Figures from the operation as well as a Sherman Tank as used in the battle. Very nice display Fred!
Jose Pedro do Amaral displayed a German Sd.kfz 251 somewhere on the Russian front. The vehicle was given a field camouflage and features a nice selection of troops and gear. Out in front of the vehicle a couple of soldiers are approaching with a Russian prisoner. Not a good day for him.
