The March meeting was well attended and there was plenty of eye candy for one and all. Some of the members had recently attended the SHOW OF SHOWS down in Louisville, KY and George and Eric brought some of the 1 to 1 items that they picked up there. Great meeting and everyone had a good time!
We start with an item that I picked up when I recently visited Southern Club Member, Cory... the DID Afrika version 109 Cockpit and pilot, the "Star of Africa". The figure had enough stuff to do two outfits, but had no life vest and parachute, thus a second figure to provide the needed items. (yes, I know Galland was not in Africa, but he already had the gloves on and you know what those things are like to put on a hand)

Next, a WIP from myself and Phil. This vehicle will eventually be a Humber MK-1 Scout Car. I made templates for it a while back using a 1/35th kit and isometric drawings as a starting point. It was a hard assembly though because of the angles from the bottom hull and the upper hull (I mean, well... look at it). We finally decided to have the bottom hull 3D printed and start our assembly from there. This is the first of three Humbers that we are making.
Notice the box with the Morris Truck on the lid. That's the next project.
Justin displayed these two custom Cobra Troopers. As with all of his custom figures, they feature 3D made parts, improved straps and gear and handmade berets. You would not want to meet these guys in a dark alley. Well, actually, I don't think you would want to meet them anywhere.
George 3D printed these half columns for a dio project he is working on. He plans to use two pieces for each column as his printer will now allow him to print it all in once piece. Once painted, it is going to be a real nice piece. He also Brought this PMC that he kit bashed. Cool looking dude, I wouldn't mess with him either.
Some of the items that George picked up at the Show of Shows.
Phil is also working on improving a couple of old DiSimmone Sherman Tanks and he brought this sample of 3D printed items that will be used to improve the running gear and track. Its beautiful work!
Mark brought this impressive collection of X Files figures. I am not familiar with the show, never having watched it, but it is pretty amazing collection with some very cool outfits and accessories.
Dick brought some recent purchases. Still in the box is t he new DID Army Air Force Pilot. This is a great set that has a lot of gear and basically two uniforms. He also displayed an Afrika Korps figures and an Italian Infantryman that has been beautifully kit bashed. All great looking figures!
