For the April meeting, we were a little light in the attendance category coming off the March FIGURECON. That is to be expected. The show was not even two weeks ago. But those who were able to make it out to the meeting had a good time and I got a few pictures. We start with me (Point Man). These are some modern troops that I am in the middle of bashing to add to my Humvee/MRAP unit. I haven't detailed them out yet, but I finally decided on the three figures that I was going to use.
| The uniforms are all PowerTeam. I'm really cheap. Two of the bodies had to have removable feet though to use the shoes I bought for them. The figure arms were a little long for the PowerTeam uniforms though, so I ended up cutting about 3/8ths of an inch out of their forearms. This guy to the right is my favorite. I just like the look of determination on his face. |  |
Next, Mark (Dr. Zorkon) brought this cool robot figure. The detailing and painting on this figure is really well done and it sort of reminds me of that "I Robot" movie with Will Smith. I can think of all sorts of applications for this figure in my comics. Very cool Mark!

Club President, Dick (Hammer Six) brought his newest Uncle Adolph figure from 3R. This figure is really well done. The sculpt is right on in MHO. And they give you enough stuff for 2 versions. With an extra sculpt and you could do two figures.
The set also comes with this really unique National statute and a pillar to set it on, as well as a Nazi flag. The Statute and pillar are most likely made of polystone, based on the weight and would need extreme care when handling. All in all, a really nice set.
George K, displayed this Jeep, which he bought off of me at the beginning of the meeting (thanks George). He is displaying it with an African American tanker figure that he bashed. Fred knew the unit that this guy is supposed to be in; I confess, I do not remember.
The Jeep is a late 90's/early 2000s Hasbro Jeep and has been modified with a stowage bin on the back and some radios and other details.
George also Brough these three guys that he was working on, Left to Right; a modern day Marine, an African Fighter and a German FJ Paratrooper. Down in front, those two things that look like candles were an attempt at 3D Printing scale Propane tanks. The tank itself worked out fine, but the valve on top presented some problems.

Gregory brought a couple of items. On the left a quarter scale Dare Devil figure and on the right, still in the box a 1/12th scale Street Fighter figure. I don't know anything about the Street Fighters, Gregory would have to fill you in on that, but I am familiar with the comic book version of Dare Devil and this is pretty cool.
The figure comes with some hand options and weapons, but I particularly like the alternative head sculpt and the hand holding the mask. Nice little detail that would look very cool in a display.
Next was John (J.Kidd) with his D-Day trio of troops. These guys were all bashed out to storm the beaches of Normandy. The two figures on the left are a light machine gun team and on the right we have a radio man with a walkie talkie. I really like the use of the belt life preservers and the gas mask bags. Nicely done John.
And that was about it for this meeting. I didn't get a picture of the figures that Cindy was working on, a couple of WWII Russians and I apologize to Cindy. Mrs. Point Man and I had to rush out before she had them ready for pictures. Hopefully Fred got a couple of shots. That's all for this month. - PM
