A couple of questions...

Good Morning Campers,
Wasn't able to get on last night and blog, so I am doing it this morning. Unfortunately, doing it from work, I can't upload pictures to the website because of the firewall here. So... in place of a picture, you will just have to get a thousand words (well, maybe not that many).
     For me it was a pretty good weekend as I started on a new project, working on some DAK troops. I don't have but five, so it should be a pretty quick project. Essentially, I just want to take some old 21st DAK uniforms, make some improvements to them, add better equipment and put them on better figures. They won't be state of the art when they are finished, but they will be better than they were. Projects like this always get me thinking about other projects and goals that I have for the year, so I have a couple of questions for you;

In 2011, what 1/6th projects do you have planned? If you don't have any now, try to come up with a figure project, a vehicle project and a "prop" project.

Second question, In 2011, what are the 1/6th purchases that you are planning to make and do they create any additional projects?

For me, working up these DAK figures is my figure project. I haven't really thought beyond that with figure projects. I have two vehicle projects; Hammer Six's Panther and my 250 kit (probably an early war 250). As far as props go, I would really like to build a kitchen wagon at some point.

Well, as they say, inquiring minds want to know, so let me know what you are working on, or planning to work on in 2011. I won't hold you to them, I just want to see what everyone is thinking about.

Well I'm currently still on the 222, the interior should be done tonight or Tuesday!!

Figure wise I'm building the 3 crew for the 222 (basically done) and it looks like it's going to be 9 SS-VT troops and perhaps one motorcycle figure.

Hopefully I'll have all those projects done within the next few weeks although I'm sure something on the 222 exterior will hold me up for a few extra weeks lol.

Beyond that my plate is pretty bare. The third floor is destroyed so stories are out for the time being, perhaps doing something productive up there will turn into my big project for the year

I plan on working on some 12th SS figures and some Africa Corps figures.

I have no major projects planned and no new vehicles to work with at this time.

I hope to have some more free time in 2011 and use it on my 1/6 collection.

I would also like to add some new vehicles to my collection in 2011 just not sure what direction I want to go in.

Nice to haer from you DR.Zorkon.
I have nothing going on at all at this time.
Looking for some motivation.
The tanks were a nice spark to see at the meeting but I would love to see a DAK PanzerII or be able to purchas a DAK 222 like Hammers non DAK version.

I'd like to finish up some figure projects for sure... WAY too many of those going on!

As for purchases in 2011 - I'm not sure. We'll see what the budget allows for.

I would like to do a street in Dieppe for a diorama. That would probably be my prop project.

Shawn - I'd love to see you make some DAK vehicle acquisitions! Those would look fantastic with your Afrikakorps troops! A 222 would be great - I just finished a book about WWII desert warfare tactics and it made mention of the 222s in front of the divisions on recon. That would be cool to see!

Screw it..................I'm not doin' nothin' this year!

Yeah I am. First trying to repair the damage to to Marder III M I just bought.

Second is to complete at least on of my 250's..........a midwar with the 2cm Hanelafette turret. This would be a transition vehicle. ...IE and Alt with a Neu turret. I have one pic in my collection that actually shows one.

Third is to start the second 250 and make the early war radio version.

Plus I still have the Tiger to detail, a Puma to work on and about 100 figures still in boxes to take oit and display.

As far as props.......am still adding to my REAR Echolon troops kitchen.....would really like to take a shot at making a bakery trailer!

Thanks Gawd the Home Six hasn't decided on any travel plans so far this year............that always cost me about three months time .......always at the time it's nice enough to work in the garage and be able to paint in nice weather.
